This week, we were delighted to welcome Yogi the Reading Therapy Dog to Sherrier! 📚🐾

Some of our children had the wonderful opportunity to read aloud to Yogi and he was the perfect listener - calm, attentive, and very popular with everyone he met. Yogi enjoyed his visit so much that he’ll be returning for more sessions later this year! 🐶💛

We were so proud to receive this lovely feedback from Yogi’s owner: "The children were absolutely amazing, polite, engaged, and full of enthusiasm. Pupils from Year 1 all the way up to Year 6 recently took to the stage for our very first Rocksteady Music School Music Concert and they absolutely rocked it! 🤩

Over the past few months, pupils have been working hard in weekly sessions:
🎶 Choosing their own band name
🎸 Testing out a range of instruments
🎤 Picking the song they wanted to perform

Pupils put all that teamwork, practice and courage into two amazing performances in front of parents, fellow pupils and staff. The energy, confidence and joy on stage were unforgettable! 💥
